The Loring Park project focused on an area along Nicollet Avenue between 14th Street and I-94. Following earlier planning processes and a stalled 4-story development proposal, the Corridor Housing Initiative explored taller and denser development options. In public workshops and stakeholder meetings, neighborhood and city acceptance were tested, and the financial dynamics of development were presented through demonstration scenarios on a sample site. The findings from this work informed development guidelines subsequently created by the Nicollet Avenue Task Force of Citizens for a Loring Park Community.
