Mixed-use Developments
This presentation provides a brief history of mixed use, including a definition of terms. It includes an overview of mixed-use development today; a summary of the benefits of mixed-use development; an overview of the development scales and other issues to be considered when planning mixed-use projects; and a catalog of mixed use in the Twin Cities, both old and new.
This include images of various types of mixed use development in or near the Twin Cities metropolitan region in Minnesota, including: Nicollet Mall, Grand Avenue, Grand and Victoria, Linden Hills, Hennepin Avenue East, West Broadway, River City Centre, Arbor lakes, Excelsior and Grand, Northfield, Stillwater, and Lindstrom Lakes.
Affordable Housing
This slide show features affordable housing in the Twin Cities area. These developments were generally built with some sort of subsidy. Many of the places illustrated house mixed income populations.
