West Broadway

Working with the Jordan Area Community Council, Northside Residents Redevelopment Council, and the West Broadway Area Coalition, the West Broadway project focused on a key area in North Minneapolis. A feature of the area was the relatively large sites available, making redevelopment feasible.

This project was coordinated with a larger master planning process sponsored by the city and several of the neighborhood groups.

Early 2004: Corridor selected to be part of the Corridor Housing Initiative
June 2004: First meeting of steering committee
November 13, 2004: Public Workshop at the Bean Scene featuring "block" model development exercise and other information stations
December 9, 2004: Second Meeting, "Community Huddle"
2005: Community guidelines completed
